The Grain Academy Museum, located in the BMO Centre on the Plus 15 level in Stampede Park is a brief walk from downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada, or a fast ride on the city's LRT system with a stop at the Stampede Park station.

The Grain Academy Museum is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Special bookings for group tours for after hours and weekends can be made by telephone (403-263-4594) or via email.

Parking is also available on the Stampede grounds for a fee, and Bus Tour groups have free parking with advance notice to the Grain Academy.

The Grain Academy Museum offers tours to anyone who has an interest in gaining a bird's eye view of the grain handling system, storage and transportation industries.

Besides giving people the facts about how much and what kind of grains are grown in Canada, visitors learn that some 90 nations buy grain from Canada, and they get to see an array of products derived from grain.

Guests can watch a video on "The Way it Was" depicting how the prairies were settled, see a working grain elevator demonstration and watch a sizeable model train display on the movement of grain from the prairie to the terminals at Vancouver.

Other displays include everything from barbed wire types to wheat straw weaving, pioneer farm tools and various models of farm implements.

The Grain Academy operates solely on donations from interested parties, sponsors and visitors, and has been open since 1981.
